In the decade since DwellStudio opened its doors, we've become known for our signature prints and sense of color. Now our textiles, bedding and accessories are a fixture in stylish homes everywhere.

Now we're aiming to completely redefine the modern home — collaborating with North Carolina's Precedent Furniture to create a beautifully built, thoughtfully designed collection of furniture. It's our first venture into the world of furniture, and we've found our ideal partner in Precedent, a family operation that's been creating exquisitely crafted furniture for decades.

This new line debuts with the Decorative Modern Collection, which features seating, occasional pieces, and beds — as well as an extensive selection of fabrics proprietary to this collection.

We drew inspiration from classic European midcentury design, but also looked at great American design and took cues from the art world. We embraced traditional forms and details, but we also made unexpected choices, like bold colors and dazzling patterns.

Every piece shares a common point of view, but the similarities end there — silhouettes, proportions, seat heights are all distinct. We believe the modern home is a dynamic, ever-evolving thing, and so we set out to create a collection that reflects that.

DwellStudio for Precedent furniture stands out but doesn't shout out. It's furniture with an ease and a versatility, designed to layer in with the pieces you already own and love. It's pieces that truly become your own, and are built to last and evolve as your life and your home do.
